If you’re looking for a vacation rental booking widget or booking form that can be embedded into a hotel or accommodation website, there are more options than you might expect. We’ve chosen a few you can use as lighter options, even without a big PMS if you want.
That’s exactly what I’m focusing on in this article.
My goal was to find tools that let hotels, B&Bs, vacation rentals, cabins, apartments, and other short-term accommodations add direct reservations to an existing website.
Your reasons for wanting to use it might be different… A direct channel might be aimed at past guests, repeat guests, people who discover you through Google, or simply travelers who first find your property on an OTA such as Airbnb or Booking.com and later look for your own website (travelers are becoming smarter, believe me!).
As I said, I’m particularly interested in simpler solutions or those that at least offer you to choose smaller options: not huge PMS platforms such as Beds24, not full-service agencies that build and manage everything from A to Z, and not software where creating an entirely new website is the main point.
I’ve searched for solutions that position themselves as an embeddable hotel booking widget, booking calendar, search form, or similar booking component that you can drop into the website you already have. In some cases, the same service also gives you a hosted booking page or optional website builder.
What I think is really important to understand: there is almost no such thing as a completely isolated embeddable booking widget anymore. Most come with availability management, payments, OTA synchronization, pricing rules, guest communication, or other tools. Sometimes those extras are optional; sometimes they are inseparable from the widget.
I’ll try to evaluate how good the actual embedded booking experience is with the chosen solutions, what you can embed, how it connects to OTAs, how pricing scales, and how much additional software comes with it.
So, let’s go.
1. BNBForms

BNBForms is the specific type of software I’m looking for in this roundup: you keep your existing website and add the booking functionality to it – or – optionally, you use a BNBForms-hosted page.
Its main booking widget can work as a Book Now button or an iframe, and the booking process itself is presented as a one-page wizard. Guests can check dates and real-time availability, choose a property and rate, add extras or coupons, and proceed through checkout without the website needing its own reservation infrastructure.
The hotel booking widget embedding support is great and really makes sense when you build accommodation sites for different clients and do not want the booking technology tied to one CMS.
Visually, you can customize the embeddable hotel booking widget colors and modify the search form, including filters and how guest selection is presented. Property information, images, rates, availability, deposits, coupons, services, and several payment methods can become part of the same booking flow. You can take paid bookings with 5+ gateways (and 100+ more if you use Stripe).
It currently costs $16/month when billed annually or $19 month-to-month, with unlimited properties and reservations. For someone managing 50+ rentals or more, the price is still the same $16/month on the annual plan!
| Feature | BNBForms |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | No. 30-day free trial, no card required. |
| Also a website builder? | No. |
| Embeddable in | WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Webflow, Shopify, Joomla, Drupal, Weebly, Framer, HTML and other sites that allow embedding. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Embedding is the main approach; but a simple hosted booking page is also supported. |
| Standalone widgets | Booking/search interface with availability calendar, property results/details and checkout. Multi-calendar and more. |
| OTA sync type | iCal synchronization (availability only) |
| Pricing model | Flat fee: $16/month billed annually or $19 monthly. |
3 unique benefits:
- Flat pricing for unlimited properties and bookings (rather uncommon).
- Very broad website builder compatibility (Shopify, GoDaddy, Framer, Webflow, Wix, Sqaurepsace and more). View client sites.
- A complete booking wizard rather than merely an availability calendar, including rates, extras, coupons, deposits, and payments.
2. RentalBeam

RentalBeam has a more modular approach (meaning, various hotel booking content widgets that can be placed on different pages).
Their approach is to separate the guest facing experience into an availability calendar, booking form, and location map. So, you might put a calendar on the accommodation page, a map on the location page, and the actual booking form only on your Book page.
Its availability calendar is also available on a permanent free plan for one rental and one iCal source. The direct booking form itself requires Pro. Once activated, it supports three different booking flows: inquiry only, host approval followed by a secure payment link, or card payment directly in the widget.
Embedding is flexible. RentalBeam recommends a JavaScript embed, but an iframe is available for builders that strip scripts (should work well with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and custom HTML). And the widget can also receive preselected dates and guest numbers from your own search interface or Book Now button.
For a rental website where location matters, the separate map widget is a particularly useful difference. RentalBeam also supports Collections for presenting multiple rentals together.
The main limitation compared with more complete systems is that OTA connectivity is based on iCal (common with smaller hotel booking widgets).
| Feature | RentalBeam |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | Yes. One rental, one iCal source and an embeddable availability calendar. |
| Also a website builder? | No. Designed for an existing site. |
| Embeddable in | WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, custom HTML and other sites that accept scripts or iframes. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Mainly widget-based rather than a hosted website product. |
| Standalone widgets | Availability calendar, direct booking form, location map, multi-property Collections. |
| OTA sync type | iCal; Free supports one source and paid plans can merge up to 10 feeds per rental. |
| Pricing model | Permanent Free tier, then Plus and Pro plans that scale by rental-count tiers rather than booking commission. Pro is required for direct bookings. |
3 unique benefits:
- Separate calendar, booking, and map widgets instead of one all-or-nothing booking interface.
- Permanent free availability calendar for one rental.
- Three booking modes: inquiry, approval/payment link, or payment directly in the form.
3. RentalReady

RentalReady is the least “small widget tool” in this list, but its direct booking widget is relevant enough to include.
The widget can be installed individually on property pages and synchronizes rates, availability, cancellation policies, discount codes and guest messages with RentalReady. Installation requires adding a div and the RentalReady script to your page; activation is handled through RentalReady support.
Overall, however, RentalReady is a professional PMS and channel manager with API connections that synchronize information across booking channels, and RentalReady says its ecosystem is used to manage more than 11,000 properties.
Unlike many in this list, they have professional services like task management, when cleaning, maintenance and other operational tasks can be assigned automatically. You may have checklists, submit photo reports, report incidents and follow tasks from the web dashboard or dedicated mobile app. Field staff can receive and update tasks directly from their phones.
RentalReady can also provide an entire direct booking website instead of the widget. The hosted website includes property pages, search, payments, multilingual content and a Guest Space, while bookings remain connected to the same PMS.
| Feature | RentalReady |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | No. Demo-based sales model. |
| Also a website builder? | Yes, optionally. |
| Embeddable in | Existing sites that allow the RentalReady JavaScript widget to be inserted on property pages. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Yes, optional. |
| Standalone widgets | Direct booking widget. Most other functionality lives in the PMS rather than being offered as individual public widgets. |
| OTA sync type | Advanced channel manager with official API integrations. |
| Pricing model | Quote-based and dependent on portfolio volume; additional features can be added as the business scales. |
3 unique benefits:
- Direct reservations immediately become part of a professional PMS workflow.
- Advanced task management, including automated assignments, checklists, reporting and incident handling.
- Mobile apps for owners, staff and service providers.
4. BineBoost

BineBoost is probably the most unusual product in this roundup because it has been designed specifically to complement Smoobu.
You need a Smoobu account with API access to use BineBoost. Your calendars, rates and channel synchronization remain inside Smoobu, while BineBoost replaces or enhances the customer-facing direct booking experience on your website. Why do that?
If you already use Smoobu as your management and OTA layer but want more control over what guests see when they book directly – so, it’s basically more about design.
BineBoost adds more detailed pricing logic and a more customizable front end.
For example, it can handle child rates by age band, single-occupancy reductions, additional-person charges, tourist taxes, deposits and other price components. When a reservation is completed, BineBoost creates it in Smoobu through the official API, itemizing the different price components while Smoobu continues handling calendar blocking and OTA synchronization.
That makes it less of an independent vacation rental booking widget and more of a specialized direct-booking for Smoobu.
| Feature | BineBoost |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | No. 7-day free trial. |
| Also a website builder? | No. |
| Embeddable in | Existing websites through an embedded booking experience (on top of your existing Smoobu). |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Embedded booking experience. |
| Standalone widgets | Booking engine/front-end booking. |
| OTA sync type | OTA connectivity remains in Smoobu. BineBoost communicates with Smoobu through its API. |
| Pricing model | Per property. Starts at €9/month for one property, with the average price per property decreasing for larger portfolios; annual billing gives a 10% discount. No booking commission. |
3 unique benefits:
- Purpose-built for Smoobu users who want design variations.
- More detailed pricing logic, including age-based child pricing, taxes or surcharges.
- Bookings are written directly back to Smoobu through its API, so operations are intact.
5. Bookalet

Bookalet can be used by anyone but it’s really popular with the UK holiday let owners. You may use it as an embeddable booking widget and full-scale holiday rental management software.
It has been operating in the UK holiday-letting space for years and is clearly designed around terminology and workflows familiar to UK self-catering businesses.
For my focus, however, its Publish Widgets area is the important part.
You can add an availability calendar, rate card, enquiry form, reviews, full online booking, or – with suitable accounts – a multi-property search form. Online booking can use immediate or deferred payments. The widgets can be added to WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, GoDaddy, Elementor, IONOS, Weebly and custom implementations.
So Bookalet is more than a booking engine, but it doesn’t force you to use all of it on the front end.
On the back end, you get rates, payment tracking, correspondence, invoices and broader booking management. The Pro level adds both iCal and API-based channel management, while higher tiers add operational features for agencies and teams.
An optional Bookalet website builder is also available.
| Feature | Bookalet |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | No. 30-day free trial. |
| Also a website builder? | Yes, optionally. Website builder starts separately from £149/year excluding VAT. |
| Embeddable in | WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, GoDaddy, Elementor, IONOS, Weebly, PromoteMyPlace and other sites accepting embed code. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Can be paired with a Bookalet website; embedding into your own site is also a core use case. |
| Standalone widgets | Availability Calendar, Rate Card, Enquiry Form, Reviews, full Online Booking; multi-property Search Form for suitable agency accounts. |
| OTA sync type | iCal plus API channel management options on Pro and above. |
| Pricing model | Plans scale by account level/bookables. Current entry pricing starts at £139/year excl. VAT for Lite; Pro starts at £189/year excl. VAT. |
3 unique benefits
- Several genuinely separate widgets, including rate cards, calendars, enquiry forms, reviews and booking forms.
- Especially suited to UK holiday-let owners and agencies.
- Choice between simpler iCal connectivity and API channel management on appropriate plans.
6. Bookingmood

If your idea of the best calendar app with embeddable booking widget involves much more than one basic calendar, Bookingmood deserves attention.
Its widget system is one of the broadest in this comparison: you can create a Calendar for a single unit, a Timeline for multiple units, an Inventory calendar showing remaining room or spot capacity, a Search widget, a Pricing widget and a Reviews widget. All are very helpful for any rental property online.
Embedding is flexible too. A widget can appear inline, in a popup, as a floating popover button, as a side tab, or through an oEmbed link.
Bookingmood also includes a no-code website builder, so it covers both scenarios: keep the website you already own or create a new direct booking site within Bookingmood.
The downside is pricing complexity compared with something like BNBForms. Bookingmood combines a base monthly subscription with a fee per rental unit, so costs increase as your business grows. Its Availability plan currently starts from a $9.60 monthly base plus $2 per unit, while the Booking plan starts from a $19.20 base plus $4 per unit. Website functionality can add another fee.
| Feature | Bookingmood |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | No. 14-day trial. |
| Also a website builder? | Yes. Single- and multi-unit websites are available. |
| Embeddable in | Practically any website/CMS that accepts generated embed code. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Yes, through its website-building options and direct widget links/oEmbed. |
| Standalone widgets | Calendar, Timeline, Inventory, Search, Pricing and Reviews widgets. |
| OTA sync type | iCal synchronization; also supports Google Vacation Rentals and PriceLabs. |
| Pricing model | Base subscription + fee per rental unit. Availability: $9.60 base + $2/unit monthly; Booking: $19.20 base + $4/unit monthly at currently listed rates. Optional websites cost extra. |
3 unique benefits
- One of the strongest sets of standalone display widgets, not merely one reservation form.
- Several embedding styles, including inline, popup, popover and side tab.
- Optional no-code website builder if you later decide to move beyond widgets.
7. Travelgenix

Travelgenix is a decent travel-commerce software in our list of lightweight vacation rental tools! So, what does it do in this article aimed ar somebody with one cottage?
I like the diversity of widgets, which is 100 plug-and-play tools designed for individual booking and marketing jobs.
Travelgenix lets a travel business place very targeted components around its site: live search, dynamic offers, reviews, maps, quote-building tools, AI chat, deal components, countdowns, click-to-call features and other conversion elements. So, you may use this service for more complex needs.
I think this is why it stands out among the best embeddable booking widget options even though its target customer is different.
The widgets pull real-time prices and availability from Travelgenix’s supplier network, which currently connects more than 200 suppliers spanning hotels, flights, transfers, car hire and experiences.
Travelgenix reports a 4.8 rating from 27 Google reviews and says more than 300 travel businesses use the platform.
This is not inexpensive micro-software. Plans currently start at £159/month and can include significant setup costs and contractual terms. So it makes more sense for travel companies and businesses selling substantial accommodation inventory than for a single Airbnb host.
| Feature | Travelgenix |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | No. |
| Also a website builder? | Yes. Fully bookable travel websites are part of the platform. |
| Embeddable in | WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, custom builds and other platforms that allow its code snippet. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Yes. |
| Standalone widgets | 100+ options including search, booking, dynamic offers, reviews, maps, quick quotes, AI chat, countdowns and others. |
| OTA/supplier sync type | Not a simple iCal product. It connects in real time to a large supplier ecosystem/API network. |
| Pricing model | Full travel-platform pricing rather than per-widget pricing. Plans currently start at £159/month, with setup/term structures depending on the package. |
3 unique benefits
- 100+ individual widgets aimed at search, booking, marketing, upselling and conversion.
- Live supplier connectivity.
- Widgets for very specific marketing goals, including offers, reviews, maps, quotes and AI-assisted customer interaction.
8. Zobooq

Zobooq is another solution that technically extends beyond the “simple widget”, but its embeddable engine is built very specifically for people who already have a website.
Installation uses a script snippet, and Zobooq says the booking engine can be inserted into WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or custom HTML site, so it’s pretty within the category that we need.
What I like here is that it gives you three levels of embed rather than making the full booking engine your only option: a full booking engine, multi-property search, or compact availability card with a live calendar.
The payment step uses a secure hosted checkout with Stripe/3D Secure and can also accommodate offline payment methods such as bank transfer or payment on arrival.
Zobooq also includes its own OTA channel manager with connections to more than 10 channels (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and Google Vacation Rentals, with rates, availability, minimum stays and other data synchronized in real time). iCal import/export remains available as well.
It’s a good choice if you want to embed a relatively simple guest self-booking tool, but keep a much more advanced channel management engine behind it.
| Feature | Zobooq |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | No. 14-day trial without card. |
| Also a website builder? | Yes, with a free Zobooq subdomain; custom domains are supported. |
| Embeddable in | WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and custom HTML. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Yes. |
| Standalone widgets | Full booking engine, multi-property search, availability card/live calendar. |
| OTA sync type | Advanced API channel manager for 10+ channels plus iCal import/export. |
| Pricing model | Per-property subscription. |
3 unique benefits
- Three embed formats: full booking engine, multi-property search and availability card.
- Built-in advanced channel manager for OTAs.
- Secure hosted payment stage.
9. Bookster

Bookster widgets are part of a their holiday-rental direct booking toolkit.
Its main embedded component is a responsive availability calendar. Guests can see available dates and pricing, select dates and party size, and continue into the reservation flow.
Bookster makes the calendar itself available even on its Free level, although actually continuing into the booking process requires a paid subscription. That distinction makes it useful if your immediate requirement is simply to put current availability on a website.
If you do not already have a site, Bookster includes an Instant website option. Guests can reach Bookster through a direct link to a single property booking screen, a single-property calendar widget, or a multiple-property search engine.
Bookster’s pricing is a little more complicated than a simple subscription because direct bookings are fee-free, while channel-manager connections can carry percentage fees depending on the plan.
| Feature | Bookster |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | Yes but “Continue to Book” requires a paid subscription. |
| Also a website builder? | Yes, with so-called Instant Websites. |
| Embeddable in | WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and other websites that accept the calendar embed. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Yes. |
| Standalone widgets | Availability calendar, Book Now/booking links and multi-property search functionality. |
| OTA sync type | iCal plus richer channel manager integrations depending on channel/plan. |
| Pricing model | Paid plans currently start around £26/month; pricing scales with property count and plan. Direct/manual bookings are included, but channel manager connections require percentage fees. |
3 unique benefits
- Free embeddable calendar option before upgrading to the full direct booking flow.
- Widget, direct booking link and Instant Website options.
- Nice marketing and rental management ecosystem if you want to expand beyond the widget later.
10. DiBooq

With DiBooq, the actual integration is simple. The booking engine is added to an existing website through a code snippet (as usual, WordPress, Joomla, Wix, Squarespace, etc.).
Second, DiBooq is not relying solely on the widget for availability. Its Premium setup combines the booking engine with a channel manager. Availability, bookings and rates can be synchronized with platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com, while iCal export is available for other services.
Your pricing changes should be managed through DiBooq once the channel manager is connected so that updates remain consistent. The booking website can include overnight rates and additional services; final cleaning can be made mandatory when activated. Hosts receive booking information through the DiBooq app.
| Feature | DiBooq |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | No, 14-day trial. |
| Also a website builder? | Yes. |
| Embeddable in | WordPress, Joomla, Wix, Squarespace and generally websites accepting a code snippet. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | Yes. DiBooq can provide its own booking website. |
| Standalone widgets | Booking form/engine and calendar are the main embedded components. |
| OTA sync type | Advanced Channel Manager for major supported platforms plus iCal export for additional calendars. |
| Pricing model | Up to five properties for €20/month incl. VAT with annual billing or €25/month monthly, according to the current booking-engine FAQ. |
3 unique benefits
- Up to five properties included at a relatively low fixed entry price.
- Booking widget and advanced OTA/channel synchronization in the same system.
- Mobile-first owner workflow.
11. Cabintale

Cabintale is the newest product in this list, and that is important to keep in mind when comparing it with established bed & breakfast software or mature vacation rental systems. Several direct booking components are still being built out.
Its concept is quite appealing for cabins, glamping businesses and accommodation operators that sell more than overnight stays. Cabintale separates inventory into Places, which guests reserve by night, Services, which are booked by time slot, and Products, such as vouchers or additional items.
The current Starter plan already includes an availability calendar, booking management, seasonal pricing, two-way iCal synchronization and an embeddable booking widget. The Direct Bookings tier adds instant/request booking, custom booking forms, guest management and revenue reporting.
| Feature | Cabintale |
|---|---|
| Permanent free plan? | Yes. Starter is currently listed as Free for up to 2 places and 2 services. |
| Also a website builder? | Not yet. Website templates and hosting are marked Coming soon. |
| Embeddable in | Existing websites via its booking widget. |
| Service-hosted booking page? | No. |
| Standalone widgets | Accommodation booking widget; time-slot services; product checkout buttons/vouchers at higher functionality levels. |
| OTA sync type | Two-way iCal sync. |
| Pricing model | Direct Bookings is $9/month and Payments & Website at $29/month for up to 2 places/services. |
3 unique benefits
- Combines overnight accommodation, bookable services and products/vouchers in one concept.
- Permanent Starter level currently listed as Free.
- Very direct booking-focused roadmap.
Which embeddable hotel booking widget is best for which type of property?
There isn’t one universally best embeddable booking widget calendar software. Their pricing and architecture are simply too different.
For an existing small hotel, B&B or vacation-rental website where the priority is a straightforward reservation, BNBForms is one of the easiest models: one flat subscription, unlimited properties, broad CMS compatibility and the complete booking process inside the widget.
If you want individual website components rather than an all-in-one booking form, RentalBeam is more modular thanks to its calendar, booking form and map. For UK holiday-let businesses, Bookalet combines a mature rental-management environment with an unusually good choice of standalone widgets. And there are many more tools for professional property management and more complex needs.
Looking at real short term rental website examples built with these tools is often more useful than comparing another 50 backend checkboxes. In the end, your guest never sees most of the PMS. They see the calendar, the price, the booking form, the checkout – and whether all of it feels easy enough to finish the reservation.
