The mural painting “Garden of the Hesperides” In Greek mythology, the Garden of the Hesperides was a sacred orchard tended by the Hesperides, nymphs of the evening light. Within this hidden sanctuary grew luminous golden apples, said to bestow immortality.
The fruit, a wedding gift from Gaea to Hera and Zeus, symbolized divine union and eternal power. Guarded by Ladon, the many-headed dragon coiled around the sacred tree, the garden remained beyond mortal reach.
The retrieval of these apples became the twelfth and final labor of Heracles—a feat of strength and cunning that endures as one of mythology’s most celebrated trials. It remains one of the most famous episodes in Greek mythology, symbolizing the pursuit of immortality and the trials required to attain it.
Today, the Garden of the Hesperides remains a timeless symbol of beauty, mystery, and humanity’s longing for the eternal. We hope this room enchants your imagination while you stay with us.
